Robert Wilson
President
Robert
was born and raised in the great state of Florida. This is his third
semester in Beta Alpha Psi and has previously served as Treasurer. He
will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in December 2008
from the University of South Florida. He is looking forward to his
internship with Grant Thornton next year. Besides going to classes,
Robert enjoys watching football, especially the Carolina Panthers, and
going to all University of South Florida sporting events.

Justin Garvin
Vice President
Justin grew up in the Navy and was born in Naples, Italy, although he
calls Pensacola, Florida home.
He recently graduated with his bachelor's degree in accounting in the
spring of 2008. He is now working towards a master's degree of
accountancy. Justin is entering his fourth semester in Beta Alpha Psi
and previously served as the Corresponding Secretary and Mock Interview
Committee Chair. He currently works at Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union
and likes to spend time with friends and go to USF Football games in
his free time.

Mark Tucker
Treasurer
Mark
was born in North Carolina but grew up in Winter Haven, Florida. This
is his second semester in Beta Alpha Psi, and his first as an officer.
He plans to graduate in the spring of 2009 with his undergraduate
degree and then to immediately begin the Masters program. Mark's
hobbies are collecting records, playing golf, and watching all sports,
especially footbal... GO BULLS!!!!!

Kelsey Thompson

Kelsey
is currently working on a double major in Accounting and Management with plans
to graduate in the spring of 2009. Having completed three summer
internships with an accounting firm in Fort Myers, Kelsey plans on completing
graduate school and pursuing a career as a forensic accountant. With
prior experience as the chair for the community service committee, this will be
Kelsey's third semester as a member of Beta Alpha Psi. She enjoys
spending time with friends and family and is looking forward to the 2008
football season!

Luciano DeNisco

Luciano
was born in Buffalo, New York but considers himself a native of Tampa. This is
his second semester in Beta Alpha Psi and he is currently pursuing a bachelor's
degree in accounting. He loves to stay active and maintain a busy schedule. He
enjoys traveling, road trips, all sporting events, good food and good fun. He
is also heavily anticipating the USF football season this fall.

Tracy Ploch
Information Systems
Director
Tracy
just graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in the spring
of 2008 and recently completed an internship with
PricewaterhouseCoopers in their assurance department. She will be
studying and
taking classes to sit for the CPA exam this year and then will start
with PwC full time in fall 2009. Tracy enjoys
staying involved on campus, working with children, keeping busy, and
most of all,
cooking! She is looking forward to her third exciting semester in Beta
Alpha
Psi!

Gary A. H. Laursen
Faculty Advisor
Dr. Gary A.H. Laursen is a Florida C.P.A. and a
Florida Bar Board Certified Tax Attorney. He has a B.S.
in Accounting from Florida State University, a J.D. in Law and
an LL.M. (Taxation) from the University of Miami School of
Law. Dr. Laursen is an Associate Professor of Accounting
and Law at the University of South Florida (USF), Tampa,
Florida.
Dr. Laursen has taught a number of courses at
USF, including Law and the Accountant, Concepts of Federal
Income Taxation, Estate Planning Taxation, Tax Research,
Planning, and Procedure, Taxation of Business Entities,
Taxation for Managers (Executive MBA), Advanced Partnership
Taxation, Advanced Corporate Taxation, and Estate and Gift
Taxation.
Dr. Laursen currently teaches Law
and the Accountant, Concepts of Federal Income Taxation,
Estate Planning Taxation, and Tax Research, Planning, and
Procedure. He also teaches the Regulation Part of the
USF CPA Review Course.
Dr. Laursen is married to
Elizabeth Laursen, and they have three adult
children.
