Greetings from the College of Business!
At our recent Celebration of Free
Enterprise, we honored the Columbia
Restaurant and the five generations that
have led this internationally acclaimed
business. You can read more about this
celebration in this newsletter, of course, a
great event that helped raise funds for
scholarship and student programs at the
College of Business. As we honored the
Columbia, we noted that it takes more than
luck and inheritance to keep a business
thriving as times change.
The same can be said for a business school.
The best business schools create the new
employees businesses want to hire by
bringing experienced faculty, contemporary
programming, and supportive alumni together.
In this newsletter, you can read more about
some of our faculty successes, newest
programming, and alumni activities.
As we approach Thanksgiving, it seems
appropriate to thank the faculty and staff
members whose service has helped build our
traditions. As you read this newsletter, be
sure to skim the roster of colleagues who
recently celebrated milestone anniversaries
at USF and meet our newest faculty members,
educators who hail from across the nation,
experts in fields that didn't exist twenty
years ago, such as data mining. Thank you
for choosing to call USF home.

Bob Forsythe, Dean
