COBA Distinguished Scholar Series:


Richard Bagozzi, Professor of Marketing, University of Michigan will be visiting COBA on January 27th, 2006, to make a research presentation that is being organized as a COBA Distinguished Scholar Series Seminar. The presentation will be held at BSN 112 from 10 am to 11.30 am. The paper of this presentation can be downloaded from here.


In addition, Professor Bagozzi will sit through research presentations by COBA faculty and graduate students with the purpose of providing some feedback. Seminars on Socio-Economics and Binary Economics


Professor Robert Ashford (‘05) of Syracuse University will present two introductory seminars on socio-economics and binary economics on Friday November 4, and Friday, November 11, 2005, 2:00-4:00 PM at Florida Studies, Fourth Floor, USF Library.

Professor Ashford will speak in anticipation of a day-long “Conference on Socio-Economics and Binary Economics,” sponsored by the USF departments of Chemistry, Economics and Africana Studies, and the USF Library System scheduled for Wednesday, December 28. 2005.

Among the subjects discussed will be unutilized productive capacity, wealth maximization, sustainable development, human rights, and corporate social responsibility.

The seminars should interest anyone who believes that pubic and private policy can be improved by an approach that integrates the social and natural sciences, philosophy, history, law and other disciplines.
