RWJF: Unsolicited Grants


The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation(RWJF) currently awards approximately 25 percent of its grantmaking funds to unsolicited proposals developed by people and organizations outside of RWJF that help to address one or more of the Foundation's 11 key interest areas but do not fit within the specific strategy outlined in a Call for Proposals.

We invite proposals that:

Through unsolicited grants, RWJF seeks to foster opportunities to learn from grantees and stretch the limits of conventional wisdom in health and health care. This is a vital means for RWJF to cultivate the innovative ideas of people and organizations. Occasionally, individual RWJF staff may collaborate with organizations to submit proposals in response to particular issues.

Deadline: RWJF accepts proposals for unsolicited grants at any time and awards them throughout the year—there are no deadlines.
