HUD: Early Doctoral Student Research Grant (EDSRG) Program
Sponsor: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
The purpose of the EDSRG program is to enable doctoral students enrolled at accredited institutions of higher education recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to cultivate their research skills through the preparation of research manuscripts that focus on policy-relevant housing and urban development issues. Approximately $105,000 is available for funding under this program. The maximum grant performance period is 12 months. The maximum amount that can be requested by a doctoral student for award is $15,000.
Topics of interest to both the EDSRG and DDRG programs include but are not limited to projects that:
Increase Homeownership Opportunities
Promote Decent Affordable Housing
Strengthen Communities
Ensure Equal Opportunity In Housing
Embrace High Standards of Ethics, Management, and Accountability
Promote Participation of Faith-Based and Community Organizations
