Greetings from the College of Business!
At the beginning of the semester we distributed nearly $300,000 in scholarships to help business students offset their educational expenses. More than 100 recipients were acknowledged at our annual scholarship luncheon, bringing donors and students together to get to know one another.

One of our new graduate students, Zak Boggs, is a star player on the soccer team. Boggs is a high- achieving student; he graduated with a 4.0 GPA last semester and was named the Big East Male Scholar- Athlete of the Year. He's the first USF student to receive the honor. That's big news for the university!

Our distinguished faculty are continually recognized for their valuable work in the business arena. Alan Hevner, an information systems/decision sciences professor, recently received a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the field over the years. And, our professors continue to do research with real- world impact. Two of them have secured grants with MacDill Air Force Base and two others have secured grants with eWinWin (a leading local technology company) to conduct pivotal research with practical implications. You can read the details of these stories and others below.

USF Soccer Star Aims for Business

To say Zak Boggs is driven and goal-oriented is an understatement. A zealous soccer player, the junior forward is co-captain of the USF men's soccer team. The second-leading scorer on the team, he helped drive USF to its first Big East championships, a team that reached the quarterfinal round of the NCAA championships.
