Distributed Query Optimization and File Allocation in Database Systems

I performed seminal research on Query Optimization in Distributed Database Systems.  I developed one of the first feasible optimization algorithms, which was implemented at Honeywell Research in a distributed system test bed.  This research led to further significant contributions in the area of distributed system design and optimization.
