Susan Albring
Assistant Professor
Dr. Albring's research focuses upon the effect of the cost of internal funds on capital structure decisions of multinational firms. She also examines the effect of earnings management and audit quality on underpricing of initial public offerings. She brings her tax and audit experience as a senior at Price Waterhouse LLP in New York City to her research and teaching activities. She was the recipient of the Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year and the Beta Alpha Psi Outstanding Teaching awards for 2003-2004. She was the recipient of an Innovative Teaching Grant from the USF Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence in 2005.
Dr. Albring earned her bachelors degree in Accounting from LeMoyne College, her masters degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, and her PhD in Accounting from University of Arizona. She is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Her article “Beanie Baby Billions?: Unpaid Income Taxes on Internet Auctions of Collectibles” was recognized in the Wall Street Journal.
